Unexpected Gratitude

Thank you for choosing her. Bet you never thought you'd hear that...but I'm serious. Thank you for choosing her. I would never have had the opportunity to learn to love myself this much if you'd chosen me. I would never have understood my value, my worth, my confidence or my soul in the way I have now, if we'd stayed together. I would never have realized how much I tried to pour into you but there was little to no reciprocation. I would have never seen my authentic self finally, FINALLY flourish. And I would have never found the peace and contentment I've found in my life. So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for choosing her.
